Hi! My name is Christina Henderson Whyte, and I'm the creator, webmaster, and writer here at Towards Emotional Health. This is my business and my dream, and my greatest hope is that it helps people.

Christina Towards Emotional Health

I've worked on my own emotional health for many years, and this website is my attempt to share what I've gained from my own battles and scars, as well as how I keep myself moving towards emotional health in my daily life. I'm not going to stand on a pedestal and preach at you - I actually have used and still use most of the strategies I talk about here, so I can vouch for them. All you get from me is honesty.

I don't believe in sugarcoating things - building good emotional health can be hard work! Sometimes it's amazing and joyous and freeing, and sometimes it completely sucks. But I'm totally committed to making it as do-able as possible for people who really want to help themselves and change things so that they can live the lives they want to live.

I'm not a doctor or a therapist, but I do have an undergraduate degree in psychology and a graduate degree in information studies. Basically, these pieces of paper demonstrate that I love thoughts and emotions and figuring out what makes people tick, and I'm really into finding and providing good, accurate, accessible information to the people who need it. I know how to recognize good research evidence from studies that I can't believe someone paid for, and I read a lot.

But most importantly, I care about the application of research and ideas to real life and real people and practical steps that work. I want to help you figure yourself out, change for the better, and create the life you want to live.
